Thanks Packer

So, after just introducing GCW to the 11th grade at Packer, we have already received 4 squares from the students! GCW would like to thank everyone who is participating and everyone who is enthusiastically learning how to knit. Right now, our Brooklyn branch is working on getting more supplies, but we would like to encourage everyone to donate both needles and yarn (100% wool!). Once again, thank you- and keep up the good work!

Call For Kids

This year GCW wants to get more and more people involved. One of our major goals is to have kids participate. We strongly believe that it is important that the youngest generations be involved, and that they understand there are those who live without. GCW is starting to integrate a plan in which volunteers will go to schools and teach elementary students how to knit. GCW is looking for more help in this program, and would love to have some volunteers. If you're interested in helping, or if you think your school might want to have someone come teach, please contact us.
